In line with its mission to support the reduction of air pollution from road traffic, Bosal has launched a new range of replacement Diesel particulate wall flow filters for passenger cars. The products are new replacements parts for the OEM filters installed when the car was originally manufactured.
The Bosal replacement Diesel particulate filter is a high quality product, featuring Silicon Carbide (SiC) substrate material of the latest generation, as used in OEM products. Thanks to its superior material properties, the SiC substrate ensures outstanding durability, excellent filtration efficiency, minimal backpressure and high fuel economy.
In line with Bosal's commitment to deliver highly reliable products, SiC was chosen instead of the lower cost Cordierite-based substrate, which is known to crack and fail during the soot generation process in some passenger car applications.
The Bosal replacement DPF reduces diesel particulate mass emissions by more than 95% down to levels which meet the stringent Euro 5 emission standards, even on cars which were Euro 3 or Euro 4 type approved. This performance can only be achieved using full filtration technology, since the previously introduced metal-based partial filtration Diesel Filters could only achieve 60% soot filtration efficiency at best. It is developed as a direct fit application whereby the DPF backpressure monitoring sensors can be easily plugged in during installation. Simple and quick fitting is assured.
